Hsp90 Project/CTK-100144

Hsp90 is responsible for maintaining the correct folding and stability of over 100 client proteins, including many proteins involved in cancer. Hsp90 is overexpressed in many cancer types. Inhibition of Hsp90 leads to degradation of the Hsp90 client proteins resulting in apoptosis.

Cetek's current lead compound series is based on a small molecule natural product that has been totally synthesized and optimized through medicinal chemistry. The most advanced compound, CTK-100144, has potent activity in in vitro biochemical and cell-based assays. Cetek believes the compound's structure is significantly different with potential advantages compared to other compounds currently in development targeting Hsp90.
